How Strength Training Women Achieve Sexy Bodies
Believe it or not, but strength training women exist! A lot of females have the assumption that weight lifting is something that's only for the guys... but that's totally false! Females are able to reap the benefits from weight lifting just as much as men! Both can benefit from burning fat and getting a leaner body, but the training methods may be a bit different between the two sexes. Most men have weight lifting regimens that make them cut down on fat and become muscular. When strength training, women would prefer to tone up and burn away their fat, without gaining too much muscles.
In general, when doing strength training, women should lift light weights with a high number of repetitions (about 20 reps per set). When you do this, you tone up your muscles rather than build muscles. If you do high weights and low reps, then you'll end up building more muscle mass. The only time this is recommended is when you: A) Look like a complete stick person and need to get a better figure, or B) Need to lose fat (more muscles will burn up calories, even while you're at rest). So unless you meet those two requirements, I recommend you stick to high reps to tone your body.
Another common method that strength training women tend to do is combing weight lifting and light cardiovascular training. By adding cardio immediately after the strength training workout, you'll be burning up calories, making it harder for your body to add additional weight. Calories are necessary for your body to build muscles, so if you don't give it enough calories, then you won't gain a large amount of muscle mass - instead, you'll have a toned body.
