1. Try no too eat too much sugar. High levels of sugar in your body can cause yeast to grow quickly.

2. You should eat a fresh cup of yogurt a day. The live cultures in yogurt will help kill the bad bacteria.

3. Only use white toilet paper that is unscented.

4. When you buy tampons, make sure that they are unscented.

5. Do not use any scented tampons, pads, pantyliners or colored toilet paper. These items can irritate the vagina, making the yeast grow.

6. Do not use any products like feminine sprays or bubble bath products. These products also aggravate the vagina.

7. You should try not to douche if at all possible. When you douche it disrupts the regular vaginal PH balance which can cause a yeast infection.

8. After you urinate or have a bowel movement, you need to wipe yourself from front to back. This will help to avoid any possible transfer of yeast to the vagina.

9. After you get done swimming, you should remove your bathing suit as soon as possible. A moist environment encourages the growth of yeast.

10. You should always wear cotton underwear and pantyhose that have a cotton crotch.

11. Do not wear tight clothing like tight pants, pantyhose, nylon panties, or clothing made out of polyester. A moist, tight environment will encourage the growth of yeast.

12. You should always make sure you get plenty of sleep. A strong immune system will help to prevent you from getting a yeast infection.
